Heritage Mews is a two-bedroom cottage offering superb 5 star self-catering accommodation for three guests – ideal for a couple, friends or small family looking for a short break or longer stay to enjoy all the attractions of Stratford-upon-Avon town and the glorious surrounding countryside.
This modern town cottage is perfectly located in a quiet tree-lined residential street (a no-through road with very little traffic) in Stratford-upon-Avon’s Old Town – close to famous Holy Trinity Church (you can see the spire from the cottage) and the beautiful River Avon. A pleasant 5 to 10 minute stroll takes you to the historic town centre, restaurants, shops, theatres and famous Shakespearean sites.
The bright and welcoming sitting-dining room benefits from morning sun and has a French door opening onto the beautifully-maintained private courtyard-style garden. Comfortably furnished with a large two-seater sofa, armchair, footstool and coffee table, it is perfect for relaxing after a day’s sight-seeing.
The circular dining table comfortably seats four. A Sony LED Full HD smart television and Panasonic DVD player/recorder are provided for your entertainment, together with a Roberts DAB radio/CD sound system with iPod dock.
There are books and games, and comprehensive information on places to visit, tourist attractions, restaurants, Royal Shakespeare Company theatre productions and Ordnance Survey maps.
Step out from the sitting room into your own sunny, secluded small garden. Beautifully maintained and furnished with comfortable Kettler table and chairs, it is a real highlight at Heritage Mews and perfect for summer outdoor dining and relaxing.
Enjoy summer sun from early morning until late afternoon, with a profusion of colour from the flowers and shrubs. The garden is a delight to look out onto in all seasons.
Guests at Heritage Mews have the exclusive use of two private off-street car parking spaces – a real benefit in central Stratford-upon-Avon where on-street parking is restricted and often in high demand. A gate from the garden leads directly to one of your two private parking spaces, convenient for unloading your car. The second parking space is in an adjacent courtyard. Enjoy the convenience of parking your cars safely within the private mews and explore this beautiful, historic town on foot.
All the famous sights, river, theatres, restaurants and shops are within a short stroll.
The modern compact kitchen looks out onto the pretty front garden and quiet tree-lined street. It is fully equipped with high quality appliances – a Bosch dishwasher; Bosch washer/dryer; Siemens gas hob and electric multi-function oven; Panasonic microwave; and a fridge-freezer.
There is a comprehensive range of bone china dinner and tea services; high quality glassware, cutlery and cookware; Dualit electric kettle and toaster; cafetiere (French press); Kenwood electric filter coffee maker; and a Kenwood blender – everything you need for dining ‘at home’. A Pure DAB radio and an ironing board and steam iron are also provided.

Upstairs are two beautifully appointed bedrooms, comfortably accommodating three guests:
The elegant double bedroom has a five foot queen-size bed, with two bedside chests, a fitted wardrobe and dressing table providing ample storage space. The bed has a comfortable pocket sprung mattress, microfibre duvet (tog rating according to season), pillows, throw and luxurious Sheridan cotton linen. Optional flat sheets and blankets are provided.
There is a hair dryer, Pure DAB radio with iPod/MP3 connection, alarm clock and a Dyson ‘Cool’ bladeless portable fan. If you prefer to have either the single or double bed made up with flat sheets and blankets, rather than a duvet, just let us know when you book.
The single bedroom is attractively furnished with a three foot bed (also with pocket sprung mattress), bedside table, mirrored wardrobe and small chest of drawers.
The same luxurious Sheridan cotton bed linen, hair dryer, DAB radio, alarm clock and Dyson fan are provided.
The pristine white bathroom has a bath with hand grips, a thermostatically controlled ‘Grohe’ shower over the bath, toilet and washbasin. There is a mirrored cabinet with lights, shaving point, extractor fan, wall mirror and plenty of shelving. Complimentary toiletries and high quality fluffy Turkish cotton towels are provided – a bath sheet, bath towel and hand towel for each guest, and two bath mats.
We provide complimentary Pecksniff’s Mood Therapy toiletries – a collection of luxurious body care products for men and women created by one of the last truly independent British fragrance houses.
The two-storey cottage is set behind an attractive small front garden. Downstairs, off the entrance hall, are the kitchen (at the front) and a separate sitting-dining room (at the back) opening onto a delightful courtyard-style garden. Upstairs are two charming bedrooms, a queen-size double and a single, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. A payphone in the hall takes incoming and outgoing calls, and provides a free line to the owners. Free unlimited Wi-Fi broadband internet access is provided, password protected for your security. Controllable gas central heating ensures the cottage is warm and comfortable even in the coldest weather. Two Dyson “Cool” bladeless portable fans are provided to keep guests comfortable in the hot weather. The cottage floor space is 650 square feet or 60 square metres, divided equally between the ground floor and first floor.
