Excellently located in a peaceful setting in Stratford-upon-Avon’s interesting Old Town, Heritage Mews is within ten minutes walk of the town centre, with its beautiful historic buildings, Shakespeare Houses, theatre, riverside gardens, and excellent choice of restaurants, pubs, bistros and shops. In sight of nearby Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare is buried, the cottage is only 250 yards from the River Avon with delightful riverside walks into town and out into open Warwickshire countryside. The Royal Shakespeare Company’s Courtyard Theatre is just six minutes walk.

With a five star rating for the highest standards of quality and attention to detail, this two bedroom cottage has a delightful patio garden, Wi-Fi internet access and the added benefit of private parking for two cars. Personally managed by the owners, it has fully controllable central heating, double glazing and luxurious fitted carpets, ensuring guests’ comfort at all times of year.

The sitting / dining room
Downstairs off the entrance hall is a comfortable sitting/ dining room opening onto the courtyard-style garden. There is a large two-seater sofa, armchair, footstool and coffee table. A Sony Bravia LCD digital television, a DVD recorder and VCR are provided for your entertainment, together with a radio/CD/cassette music system and a small library of DVDs, videos, CDs, books and games. There is comprehensive information on local tourist attractions and a diary of events during your stay. The dining table comfortably seats four. A payphone in the hall takes incoming and outgoing calls.

The kitchen
The well-equipped kitchen has Amtico flooring and high quality appliances - a dishwasher, washer/dryer, gas hob, electric multi-function oven, microwave and fridge-freezer. There is a full range of dinner and tea services, glassware, cutlery, cookware, toaster, electric kettle, cafetiere and a Roberts DAB digital radio. An iron and ironing board are provided.

The bedrooms
Upstairs are two beautifully appointed bedrooms. The elegant double bedroom has a five foot king-size bed with two bedside chests, a fitted wardrobe and dressing table providing ample storage space. The single bedroom is attractively furnished with a 3 foot bed, bedside table, mirrored wardrobe, chest of drawers and towel rail. Both beds have comfortable pocket sprung mattresses, quality duvets (tog rating according to season), pillows, throws and crisply laundered bed linen, with optional flat sheets and spare blankets. There is a radio alarm clock in the double bedroom and hair dryers and hand mirrors in both rooms.

The bathroom
The pristine white bathroom has a hotel quality ‘Carronite’ bath with hand grips, thermostatically controlled ‘Grohe’ shower over the bath, toilet and washbasin. There is a mirrored cabinet with lights, shaving point, extractor fan, wall mirror and plenty of shelving.

Baby's cot
A solid wood cot with full cot linen (quality cotton sheets and blankets) can be added to the single bedroom on request, for a small additional charge.

The patio garden
To the rear of the cottage is a delightful, sunny, private patio garden, with solar lights and furnished with table and chairs – perfect for summer outdoor dining. Planted for all year round colour and interest, it is a delight to look out onto in all seasons.

Private off-road parking for two cars provides a real benefit in Stratford where on street parking is restricted and at a premium. A gate from the garden leads directly to one of the two private parking spaces - convenient for unloading your car. The second parking space is in an adjacent courtyard. Enjoy the convenience of leaving your car safely parked within the private mews and explore this beautiful, historic town on foot.

Wi-Fi wireless internet connection - a wireless broadband internet connection is provided for guests to use free of charge. There is WPA encryption and you will be provided with the password. Network cables and a wireless laptop card are also provided should you need them. Please see conditions of use.

Welcome - you will find a welcome tray and fresh flowers on arrival, as well as some basic essentials including dishwasher tablets, soaps and toilet rolls.

Special occasions - if you are celebrating a special occasion and would like us to provide anything extra in the cottage for when you arrive, for example, champagne, chocolates, special flowers, we will be happy to arrange this for you at an additional cost. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Central heating - the fully controllable gas central heating can be timed to suit you. All the radiators are thermostatically controlled so you can vary the temperature in each room.

Baby equipment - a solid wood 'Mamas & Papas' cot with protective teething rails, 'Sleepsafe' mattress and full cot linen (quality cotton sheets and blankets), can be added to the single bedroom on request, at an additional charge of £25. A stairgate, high chair/booster seat and other equipment are also available on request. There is no additional charge for these.

Our aim - we manage Heritage Mews personally and our aim to do everything we can to make your stay at Heritage Mews memorable. We will be there to hand over the keys on your arrival and answer any questions you may have. If your travel plans mean you will be arriving very late in the evening, arrangements can be made to provide a key for you to let yourselves in.
